Spitfire solar borehole pumps.
Water for tanks and livestock.
Spitfire by Cedar Pumps offers direct-solar borehole pumps for rural water supply. Whether you are supplying livestock or storing water for your property, SolarFlow helps match the pump to the daily volume and lift required.

Direct-solar operation
The listed models operate from panels through their matched controllers without requiring batteries.
Compare lift and flow
The smaller models and the 110 / 203 offer different combinations of head, delivery and outlet size.

| Model | Power | Max head | Max flow | Outlet |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| 50 | 120 W | 50 m | 1.2 m³/h | 20 mm |
| 80 | 210 W | 75 m* | 1.2 m³/h | 20 mm |
| 100 | 500 W | 100 m | 1.6 m³/h* | 20 mm |
| 110 | 750 W | 100 m | 3.6 m³/h | 25 mm |
| 203 | 1,500 W | 160 m | 5.8 m³/h | 32 mm |
Maximum head is the pump’s lifting limit; maximum flow is its highest flow under different conditions. They do not happen together. Water delivered at your tank depends on the working head, pipe losses and available solar power.
Direct solar pumping
The listed models run from solar panels through their matched DC controllers without requiring a battery system.
Installation depth
The supplier lists maximum submersion of 25 m for models 50, 80 and 100, and 40 m for 110 and 203. Submersion is distinct from total pumping head.
Included equipment
Controllers are included. The 110 and 203 listings state that the well sensor is purchased separately.
Can I choose a pump from borehole depth alone?
No. Total head includes the pumping water level, elevation, pipe losses and any pressure required at delivery. Maximum permitted submersion is a separate limit.
Do I need a tank?
Storage can help make daytime solar pumping useful when water is needed at other times. The required capacity depends on consumption and the reserve you want.
